With snow in the air and the mercury at 32 I thought the day would be a bust. But when your best client lives in the city and has been waiting all week to get wet you put on your waders and go to work.
We put onto the West Branch at Balls Eddy floating to Shehawken. The river was about 1,000 cfs the sky was gray and it looked like we going to suffer the whole way, not so. The wind laid down and the snow stopped not a drop of rain feel. With the overcast conditions the play was a streamer ... the Boogy man strikes again. Just moments out of Balls Eddy the payoff, a very lively brown to the net. As we floated there were various hits and misses. All in all a good day on the water so you never know unless you go.
